Lots of southern Cal USB stations on this afternoon.  Good signals.  Tried some CQ's on 29.000 AM, but with my PW mobile parked here in the station lot never did raise anybody.  Caught a response, so don't know how it went after about 1845 CDT.

Worked CO8LY this morning [0731 CDT] on 28.408 while driving to work.  Signal very good; reminded me of the late 50's, early 60's on 6M when CO2GX was on almost every day with a 59+ signal.  Went up to 29.000 and called CQ on AM intermittantly for about 5 minutes but heard nothing from 29.000 to 29.100.  Will keep trying when I'm out and around.

Saturday Oct. 1, 2:30 PM Eastern

I have been picking up 10 meters AM activity here north of Philadelphia for a while, just using my scanner and a VHF discone antenna.

Hey all..I'll post my happenings here concerning 10mtrs because it's 50/50 for me on the other site..either it works when you hit submit or it don't..tired of sending stuff into cyberspace
Anyhoo 10mtrs up here in New England has been HOT!!..todays catches include DL9EBO SM4ATA I5KAP GW3UZS all on 29.010 AM..I did run into G3YPZ later on 15mtrs 21.420 AM..and we made a sked for 14.330 on AM..it was a washout as QRM etc got the better of that..incidently I DID hear activity on 14.286 AM..but I'm getting away from this posting which is about 10mtrs and AMing in general......just a refresher guys and gals..our local "gang" meets every morning on 28.351 USB but later around 11:00am EST we go to 29.010 for some AM chit chat..that's usually when the boys from overseas come in..long story short..it's mucho HOT HOT here in New England for 10mtr activity top to bottom..give it a try!            73 de DAVE

10 was just like the old days today. I had 11 AM QSOs across the pond with some very big signals. More tomorrow, hopefully.

Lots of activity on 10 meter AM today.  I worked F5DQK, PE2HHN and DK6AO this morning, all of us on low power.  Also heard some UK stations ...

Yes, 10 AM was really hopping yesterday...unfortunately I had to QRT to get some other things done, but had a nice QSO with G3YPZ and M0CHK.  Both were running K3 s  and only 25 watts.
Band doesn't seem to be open this morning, but we will see what happens later.  Those sun spots are making an impact on conditions!

Morning Jack,
There has been a solar flare. signals got very fluttery on 17M and 20 M last night. Ten dead over the pond and 15M the same. I guess it will take a few days to recover.
Glad to QSO yesterday.

Another fine enjoyable QSO with John, G3YPZ this afternoon.  Conditions held-up for over a half hour and we had a really pleasant chat.  Great to hear 10 AM working so well!

John, I enjoyed our chat while I was mobile today on 21.420. I l started to lose you to some qsb and local noise in Cortland, but when I got out on the highway (rt81) you came back up and were easy copy as you chatted with the other fellows. Looking forward to working you again on 15 or 10.

It would be great to work KL7 from the UK. I managed VE6 and W7 this evening at s9 on 29MHz and then did the same on 21.420 at 18:00 utc.
I'll be around on 10M from 11:00utc tomorrow.
