I finished JSing my 10 meter dipole at around 4:30 PM local. Called a quick CQ on 29045 and WD5KJO came back. It's always nice to get immediate confirmation that your antenna is working. Jim and I had a nice QSO until about 5 PM local.

A little later I called CQ on 29020 and WA5VGO came back. He was booming in at 10-over-9 and sounding good on his Ranger. The attached recording tells the story.

I just work East Kirbati (T32C) in the Pacific on slopbucket, so the band is opening up westward.

You mean Darrel, WA5VGO!  I work Darrel and Jim on 75 and sometimes 40.  10 meters is so much fun though!

Nice catch. I've corrected the initial message.

Hope to hear you on 10 meters soon.
