Good luck with that Bill. You did mention that project in person before, I hope that it actually works. I wonder if you have any other mods in mind for the G50? Mine is getting closer to one of the benches, but they need to be cleaned of other projects first. You seem to have the same issue. I see that yours is clean, that is a challenge!

At the last swap-meet at the Vintage Radio Museum, Joe's absence was keenly felt. Joe was one of those guys who could talk the ears off a brass monkey, but it was all good because you knew it was pure joy for him; not just a job and not just a hobby, but a labor of love. Many times he was talking above my paygrade, but it was still great just going along with the flow of his enthusiasm.

Hi:

I knew Ed and Joe. Joe's passing hurt as he was super kind and one of the smartest broadcast engineers I know.

Joe lived the next hill over from me. For a while he was our township's code officer. I bought a lot of equipment from him over the years and sometimes I would visit him just to shoot the breeze.

Great tube for linear service assuming that's the A7 version.  I just turned off my 3cx3000 f7 80 meter amp.  Same tube but doesn't require a socket.  I've been running that tube for more then 30 years now.

A tube that's too tired for a 5 kw broadcast transmitter may still work fine in a 1.5 kw plus ham amplifier.

Hi:

A thanks to Steve WA1QIX for all his design work and personal assistance to all the hams who built Class E transmitters (including me)!

Hi Pete:

Keep a positive vibe. Yes AM and ham radio activity has been decreasing, but I still enjoy it very much when I get time.

I hope the board admins are able to resolve the access issue. Maybe a simple login home-page would help?

My filaments will be lit, and wo will I...

Happy Holidays!

Hi Roland:

I too LOVE this site but find it difficult to access recently. Also as I still work, my hobby time is limited.
