I were wondering about the station on 1560, so good I heard it!
Maybe I heard: WQEW (1560 kHz), playing soft-pop-music with some talk. Smiley
PE1MPH, Henk, Dokkum, The Netherlands[/i]
WQEW, Queens NY 50KW Radio Disney.  Used to be a good classical station when it was WQXR, and later with an "American Popular Standards" format.  Now it's just pop drivel for for kids.

Oke, thanks for the information!
Sorry, today (this morning) bad conditions.
Between 3870 -3885 I heard NO AM station from the USA.
And on mw only the BC stations on 930 and 1130 khz with weak signals.

Greetings, Henk

Dear AM-Enthusiasts,
here in Berlin 75m AM is heard every evening !I will post some reports in the future. There are some european qrm from commercials on 3865 and often 3890, but the activity is still audible . I am using a 43m long Windom and different old receivers like Collins 75 A2 and Hallicrafters HQ 170, Natinal NC 300 etc.

I am also active on 10m, mostly 29.045 but the conds are poor....

We would appreciate it if you could post the calls of the stations you hear so we can tell all our friends we were heard in Germany.

Hello AM Lover!
Sorry by me not every evening by me AM from the USA.
But often I can hear them by me in the (early!) morning.
A pity this morning only a few poor/weak signals on 3885 khz.
So this morning the conditions were bad on 80 mtrs and mw.

Hello AM Lovers,
This morning I awake early, go out bed and just after 05.00 (by me) I were listening! Smiley
On 3875 khz I heard Steve WA1QIX talking and he has a good audio & signal!
I take my (read) glasses to take a look on the S-meter, Steve had S5 to S9.
Around 05.10 he (they) moved (qsy) to 3880 khz, that freq. were cleaner.
I heard Steve talking to others and from some I could hear 'a few words'.
Sorry, by me no more to hear... sometimes I heard others talking, but very weak.
I heard Steve; 'I go qrt, tomorrow there is another day'.... then nothing on 3880!

First I eating my 'morningfood' and there after I listen to the mw in our livingroom.
Because at +/- 06.30 I heard nobody between 3870 - 3885.

It seems to be normale last weeks on mediumwave???
Again good copy usa bc stations on: 930, 1130, 1510 and 1660 khz.
With a weak to fair signal I heard evenso usa bc on 1650 and 1670.
The bc station on 930 khz plays again soft-pop-music, like 'Elton John'.
Can it be this station: WBEN?
Sorry for us European it is often difficult 'to find out' the stationname. Grin

I made 3 recordings (see below):
- 3884 khz, K4KYV, weak to fair
- 590 khz, bc VOCM, mostly fair signal
- 3880 khz, WB3ETN, calling cq, fair signal

Lots of static in the eastern USA last night. Those recordings were rather good given the conditions!

Thanks Steve!
Just before my recording from K4KYV (Don), I heard another man speaking.
I were to late to record him...
His last words: 'Now I go qrt......'.
He realy did, therefore I missed his 'name & call'. Grin
Maybe Don can tell who?

the 1660 station has to be WWRU in Jersey City, NJ. Only one on that frequency running a fair amount of power at night on the east coast (10 KW, which is the limit in the expanded band).
Shelby

Hello Shelby (KB3OUK),
This morning a very big signal from the bc on 1660 khz!
Listen to the little recording I made around 06.20, with the Kenwood.
But can you, or another reader, tell me: is this WWRU?
I heard a man talking about 'South West Florida'.....
Later in the recording the man talks again...
But evenso I heard then an other station on the same freq. Smiley

A pity I had no time to make a longer recording.
Between 3870 - 3885 I heard totaly nothing....

Greetings,

Hello,
Yesterday I sent a mail (and recording) to bc WCNZ but I got all back...
Maybe I choose a wrong emailadres?
On mw the bc stations on 590 and 1130 khz fair to good signal.

This morning I heard again K4KYV (Don) but with weak to fair sigal.
Later, around 06.35 by me, I heard an 'unknow' station calling CQ. Smiley
First I heard him on 3880 and there after on 3875 khz.
Sorry, I could hear you calling but your signal were weak....
To weak for me to copy your name & call.

Thats all for this Sunday morning,

Hello AM Lovers,
Two days ago good conditions on mw, but I heard nothing between 3870 -3885 khz.
The BC on 590 khz VOCM were good to hear.
See below for recording, made around 06.30 hours in the morning.

Today I heard K4KYV (Don) calling on 3885 khz.
With fair to good signal, but I heard only him....
The BC on 590, 930 and 1130 were weak to fair this morning.

Thats all,

Henk, PE1MPH

Henk,
I am coming to NL in a week and was going to buy a smal radio to listen during our Rheinkruz but then I thought Henk has a real good set up. I will just ask him . We wondered of our weekend morning QSOs on 3725kc  could be heard in Europe. Usually around 9 AM here so you are 6 hours difference. They would be all VE calls. Maybe that is too early for you. Anyway I thought I would ask you.

Don!
Now we have in Holland Summertime, so we are 1 hour earlier...
See: http://www.dewereldklok.nl/wereldklok/

But the Sun is still stronger, so less signals from the usa!
I can hear +/- 06.30 in the morning bc on 590, 1130 and 1510.
Sorry, the signals are not so strong then in Wintertime....

Another problem Don.... sorry.... but I must tell: ssb!
Often, always ssb stations early mornings on 80 mtrs.
Thats a big problem for us... to receive AM on 3725 khz!
I have never received AM from the USA on that freq.... sorry!
We were often qrv between 3705 - 3710 trying to qso in AM.
We want to keep these part free from ssb..... you understand?
And after 07.00 more ssb on 80 mtrs and conditions dropping down.
NOT possible to receive USA anymore!

The best change to hear you (and others) is between:
3870 - 3885!

Hello AM Lovers,
This morning (+/- 06.30 by me) still good these bc stations:
590, 930, 1130, 1510 and 1620 khz.
Special the bc on 1130 & 1510 good, and with less fading, to hear!
On 1620 I heard 2 or 3 stations and on 1660 a weak bc station.

On 3725 khz strong ssb stations from Russian.

Between 3870 - 3885 khz totaly nothing heard.

OK Henk
We are on Summer time also. 3725 is often occupied by SSB UNTIL just before 9 AM here DST (daylight saving time)when they wrap it up and leave it open for the AM group for an hour or so at least. Most of the time they are very good about giving us a spot.

Oke Don!
But I have now 3725 khz in the Memory from the Kenwood receiver.
And mostly every morning, before I go to work, I monitor 80 and mw.

This morning just after 06.15 by me....
Good signals on: 930, 1130, 1510 and 1620.
The bc on 1510 were very good to hear this morning till +/- 06.50.
I received evenso a bc on 1650, but I couldn't pickup the stationscall?
Many talk and some music I heard... but a weak signal....

On 3870 - 3875 I heard often rtty?, strange noise signals.
Between 3880 - 3885 the freq. were totaly clean, but NO am heard.

Hallo AM Lovers,
This Sundaymorning I listen in our livingroom.
Just after 06.00 hour by me I heard:

3710 hkz:
F6AQK, fair signal and 9H1ES, very weak
I am not sure if there were evenso USA am stations calling?
Jean & Fortunato did hear the same, only very weak carriers heard.

3875 & 3885 khz:
Some AM stations heard, but weak to get names/calls.

BC:
590 khz, 930, 1130 strong, 1510 strong and 1660 weak.

Hello AM Lovers,
This morning I thought: 'Where are the usa AM stations, are they sleeping'?
Reason why I thought...... very good conditions on mw this morning.
And mostly.... then evenso good conditions on 80 meters...
A pity NO am station heard between 3870 - 3885 khz this morning.

Between +/- 06.15 - 05.50 hour by me I listen.
On mw I heard, for me new, bc from the USA on: 1030, 1190, 1200, 1230, 1390 and 1400 khz!
But I were listen to so many together... difficult to get stationnames.
For example the bc on 1030 & 1190 I hear many talk with fair signals.
To hear the other bc stations, I need to receive in 'narrow' AM.
You can understand why.... close to European bc stations (9 khz).

The bc stations on 1130 & 1510 khz were very strong this morning!
But around 06.45 the signals were going fast down from all usa bc stations. Cry

Hello AM lovers,
This morning, between +/- 06.20 - 06.30, I heard some AM!
Around 3874 khz I heard WA1QIX and another AM station!
Steve again good to copy, max. S7 and nice audio.
The other station were weaker, sorry I couldn't copy his name/call.

But I made a little recording from both.
Maybe he recognizes his own voice.... Grin

The bc stations on 1510, 1130 and 590 khz had weak to fair signals.

Hello AM Lovers,

This morning, +/- 06.30 hour by me, I heard AM from the usa:

3875 khz, some AM stations, but to weak to get names/calls
3885 khz, his voice 'souding like' K4KYV (Don)?, weak to fair signal

Poor mw bc conditions, only 1130 & 1510 khz with fair signals.

Thats all for this morning,
