Hello,

Yesterday NO AM from the USA heard, bad conditions.
Evenso BC am station very weak!

Yesterday evening around 23.30 hour by me...
I heard weak AM signals on 3875 khz, but to weak to copy names/calls.

This morning I hear 'weak to fair' AM stations on 3885 khz.
But weak to fair and most many fading, on +/- 06.50 by me:
A man talking with Joe about a BC 610, but his call ?
The BC am stations, 1130 & 1510, weak signals.

Good dx,

Hello AM Lovers,

Last days (weeks!) bad conditions on mw and 80 mtrs.
Sometimes I can hear very weak AM audio between 3870 - 3885 khz.
For me not possible to get names or calls.

But I am surprised about the mw BC on 590 khz.
Often I can hear this BC station with a weak to fair signal?!

Maybe comming days better AM results from the USA.
Because there is now lying some snow in The Netherlands. Smiley

Hello AM Lovers,

May I ask you this?
Which BC station is on 590 khz?
I am wondering about the reception from this BC early mornings. Smiley
Like this morning, this station were good (strong!) to hear!!
At 06.30 hour (by me!) I hear a short newsflash.
With a few commercials and later many Christmas music.
It souding like an easy-listening-music-station.

I think, not sure! Grin, it is: 590 khz CAN VOCM, Saint Johns
Just I found this on Internet.... so I think I hear often this station!

When I hear a (little) stationcall, for me to fast to get the stationname. Grin
If I can, I try to make in the future a recoding, but...
Early mornings I must hurry up... to get on time on my work.
Then I have 'no time to walk to' & 'listen in my studio'.... sorry!

Maybe some of you have any idea about this station,

Hello AM Lovers,

Last weeks bad conditions on 80 and mw.
Only weak signals on 3875 & 3885 khz.

On 1620 khz, heard: Radio Rebelde Cuba
But, a pity, on 1620 I receive more stations.

Nice Christmas and a GOOD 2013,

On 3875 khz from the usa, weak to fair signals.

This morning good conditions on mw.
The BC stations on 1130 & 1510 khz were good to receive!
Till +/- 09.45 hour (by me!) I could hear them, with slow fading.
Funny when BC on 1130 were down in fading then BC on 1510 khz were up! Grin

I wish you all a GOOD 2013!

Good conditions on mw and 80!

This morning around 5.00 hour, by me!, I heard AM on:

- 3875 and 3885, sorry could not copy names or calls.

Around 07.00 hour, again some stations on 3885 with fair signals.

On mw this morning very big signals from BC stations on:
590, 930, 1130, 1510, 1620, 1650 and 1660 khz.
Later I tried to find more on the mw band, between others...
I heard weak BC from the USA on 1390, 1400 and 1590 khz.
But the station on 1520 were VERY strong!!!
I did made a recording, microphone before speaker Philips (tube) radio.
Around 09.20 hour, by me!, I made the recording.
You can hear I received WWKB on 1520 khz.

At 10.00 hours I could still hear this station, but weak.... Grin

Hello,

Good conditions last days on mw and 80 mtrs.
Mostly every morning I can hear:

- 590, 1130, 1620 (2 or 3 on the same freq.) and 1660 khz BC stations.

- Mondaymorning I heard Steve (WA1QIX) loud & clear on 3885 & 3880 khz. Smiley

- This morning (Wednesday) I heard a man talking on 3885 khz.
He made a few 'long' transmissions, but I could not copy name or call.
His signale were in a 'heavy fading', max. S2 by me.
So I have no idea who he was this morning....

the 1660 station has to be WWRU in Jersey City, NJ. Only one on that frequency running a fair amount of power at night on the east coast (10 KW, which is the limit in the expanded band).
Shelby

Hello,
This morning I heard again the BC on 1660 khz, with good signal!
Ofcourse some slow fading, but good to receive.
For me it is a problem to hear the stationname (WWRU?) clearly!
I heard 'commercials' and 'soft-pop-music', between 06.25 - 06.50 hour by me.

Hello AM Lovers,
This morning good conditions on mw! Smiley
The following BC stations I heard with good signals:
590, 1130, 1510 very strong!, 1620 3 stations? and 1660 khz.
I tried... but I could not copy the stationcall on 1660 khz.
I heard on 1660 khz soft-pop-music.

And on 3875 khz I heard AM stations talking.
But on the same freq. I heard often (sounding like) rtty noise/signals?
So for me no change to copy from those names or calls, sorry.

Hello AM Lovers,
This morning I awake early and I listen shortly to 80 mtrs.
It were around 04.00 by me in the morning...

I heard some AM stations on 3875 and 3885.
But I am not 100% sure if I heard WA1QIX on 3875 khz.
Because those stations talking quick/fast, but with fair to good signals!
Hi, hi... I remember one sad: 'I take a shower....'!

Later in the morning, around 06.30 hour by me, I heard (new!) BC on:
- 1560 khz
- 1470 khz
- 1410 khz

I were wondering about the station on 1560, so good I heard it!
Maybe I heard: WQEW (1560 kHz), playing soft-pop-music with some talk. Smiley

WQEW, Queens NY 50KW Radio Disney.  Used to be a good classical station when it was WQXR, and later with an "American Popular Standards" format.  Now it's just pop drivel for for kids.
