Newest MRI shows a new spot 7mm X 4mm exactly where the old tumor was. Soooo it's back off to the radiation machine I go. I presume daily treatments like before, but this time they are gonna blast me with a CyberKnife . No chemo, so thats a relief. Doc Jones called me with teh news, and I've always shared it here LIVE and LATE BREAKING, so there ya go. Called wifey, called dad, still gotta call brother. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyberknife

Good luck OM. We're pulling for you here.
Is that a small size? which hopefully means you caught it early?

7 x 4 mm is not really that small , but it beats the hell out of the CM sized tumor I had to start with 4 years ago.

Derb, I am praying for you. George and Yvonne are doing better--not claiming it is entirely because of our prayers but it probably didn't hurt I had a CT scan a few years ago that found a pea sized nodule in one of my lungs. At the time the doc said if it turned out to be malignant I'd be one lucky guy since it was found so small. Yours isn't that much bigger (I guess mine was just some calcified bug or something I inhaled). So like you say I'm glad it isn't bigger than it is.

Good luck man. I guess it's encapsulated? Radio therapy alone suggests no known metastasis, a good thing. What kind of convalescent period are they talking about? Can you modulate a cyberknife carrier? Good luck and Gods speed back to the project bench! D.

well brain tumors dont travel. They cant get past the blood brain barrier so they always just stay put in your head.

I gotta go get him quick now. I might be too screwed over later to do it. if I'm going out, I'm going out @ full broadcast audio mode.

Sorry to hear this, Derb. CyberKnife looks like a very hi-tech machine.
It's interesting that the company Chuck/ K1KW works for is working on a (similar?) laser zapper that will pinpoint a growth in 3-D, burn it out and go no farther in distance. Very precise. The machine will take up a small building and is centralized for several hospitals to use. I wonder if this is what you plan or maybe the machines are not available yet? It's been a couple years since I read about them.
Either way, I hope you get great success in the procedure, OM.

Use an "AM Courtesy Filter" to limit transmit audio bandwidth +-4.5 KHz, +-6.0 KHz or +-8.0 KHz when needed. Easily done in DSP.

Derb, Based on how you beat the odd's all along, I am sure you will get this one behind you as well. Better find it now and get rid of it than find it later when they can do little. Keep us posted on how things go. Joe, W3GMS

Bull crap. You beat it once, and you're going to beat it AGAIN.
...and yer gonna KEEP beating until it STAYS down. Dammit.
Of course, wishing you the best of luck and a speedy recovery doesn't hurt, either, and I certainly do.
Now, go kick some serious tumor ass and show it what happens when you mess with the Black James Bond. You've got a legend to uphold.
