I have a Drake 2A and 2AQ, in very fine shape. But the front trim rings were nicked and chipped, making them a little more shopworn rather than restored!

You can't use a Sharpie; that leaves an irridescent violet color on the satin black finish. Making satin black out of a mix of gloss and flat model paint is almost impossible!

Go to you auto dealership, and go to the parts department (I went to my VW dealer). Ask for a black paint touch-up kit. You get two pens - one black, the other clear coat. Find a warm spot at home, and store them cap-side-down for a while. Then, just mark away the blemishes with the black pen, and let dry. If you are working on a gloss finish, apply the clear coat pen next. Done!

Other colors should work the same; I'm not holding my breath on HW-101 case colored touchup paint, though.
