After spending a couple of hours writing at Barnes and Noble last night I took a break and browsed through some of their books and picked up one by my fellow Mississippian Jimmy Buffet (better known for his music) with the title "A Salty Piece of Land".  I didn't realize he was a writer and his style was intriguing but even more intriguing was a few pages in a Hallicrafters S-40B becomes a significant part of the tale in how it affected the life of the main character.  An nice little read for those who like radios and salt water (though not necessarily mixed!).  The only problem was after having a couple of Venti Lattes at the store I drove home and stayed up until early morning to finish reading the book.
