Hi
Any AM activity on 14.286?  Have listened on this frequency, called CQ, when can I find some activity?

Steve,
If you call CQ long enough you'll almost always find someone to talk to. A lot depends on band conditions.

If you can, try to run at least 100W. Even though communication is possible with less power on 20 Meters, I find the slopbuckets try to squash me like a bug. They can hear you but will pretend not to if you're PW.

Best Regards,

I guess being in Western Pa. My hope of a contact would be in Maine or Fla or the Left coast. Although, I thought I heard Ashtabula Bill in there one time. I'll keep trying. What time are you calling? Maybe we try a sched.

Thanks, Joe and Fred
Usually try on Sunday mornings or weekday evenings at around 7-8PM EDT.
Since I am in Eastern PA (Erwinna) may be inside the skip zone for Western PA but wouldn't mind trying a sked.
I think we need some more AM activity on this frequency, or we may lose it.
A vintage SSB net (described on eHam) was going to use 14.286 when it was "clear".  After some on-line pleading, they have graciously changed to 14.289.
