Thank you for making AMfone one of the largest sites dedicated to Vintage Radio and AM. Your continued Participation is whats makes AMfone the best.

Over the last 6 years we have improved the site's appearance and operation as well as the backbone systems to provide a fast and reliable site for all to visit. Since our last move last summer this new software and the new server have operated flawlessly and without one minute of downtime. A far cry from before.

We have always felt this site represents the AM community and so it will be the best we can provide.

With the  latest  acquisition of a dedicated server to ensure reliable service and speed for all connections the cost of this site's operation has increased 300% over the last 6 years.  This includes a fast, high bandwidth dedicated server. The amount of time put into this by the Moderators and Admins is unmeasurable.

We have added a Donation button at the top of the page in the menu bar if you wish to contribute to the site's operational costs.  The donation button brings you to a Paypal page. You do not have to log in or have an account to pay through this service. If you have a credit card just click on the credit cards and you can donate without opening an account or using the standard Paypal system.

If you do not have a method to pay thru Paypal and wish to help out you can send directly to me. Make payment out to my name and note AMfone on the memo line.

Once again it is your continued participation that makes the difference.

Thank you for your continued support

G,

I'm glad to see you are finally going to accept help with the tremendous financial burden of this site!

It's the best radio website out there, as far as I'm concerned, and needs our support.

I just made my donation and hope to be the first one on the list. Let's all help with what we can afford to give.

Keep up the good work, G!

Use an "AM Courtesy Filter" to limit transmit audio bandwidth  +-4.5 KHz, +-6.0 KHz or +-8.0 KHz when needed.  Easily done in DSP.

Thanks millions for the site, Gary.

1% of 1400 = 14.  There are 1092 registered users; thats $1.40 ... Lets see, $1.40 a FB OM Member... $14.00 a Diamond member.... oh, sorry, thats taken... $14.00 an Old Buzzard member...  $140 a Boat Anchor Commodore...  $1400.00 Grand PuBA....      $14.00 is a cheep price to pay for this forum-- 100 members can cover the cost of the forum for less than the cost of an 813....  and it beats  a week long fundraiser...

G,
How about some Slimatron coffee mugs for the store??.....

Hell yeah! While you're at it, maybe you could hawk a couple of those 'Astubula Bill' coffee mugs. Or maybe one that says 'God, Jefferson, & Irb made 75M Great!'. Well maybe not that one....

Hi Slab .

Yes I forgot to offer another method. Since I do not have an account set up under AMfone you would have to use my name on any donations.

My mail address is

Gary A Burrows

Thanks for the support

So I have this $39.00 burning a hole in my pocket.

Might as well send it somewhere connected to AM.

Happy to help OM!
Already on the way.

How about doing the CafePress thing and selling some good ole AM goodies to aid the cause?
With the talent here you can whip some niffy things quickly and I'm certain the boys would like them.

I'll be the first to take the "Jesus and Jefferson" or "God Bless Mel Gibson" signature mugs.
Maybe one of this image would sell well?

Some sort of general guidelines could help.  I know what I'm going to send and I think it's a fair figure given what I'm able to do and the expenses that were reported.  But it's a complete shot in the dark.

I guess what I'm saying is that I wouldn't be offended at all with some sort of "suggested" level of support.  IMHO, the technicals at this site are impeccable...the download times are always speedy and that ain't cheap.

Or maybe set a "goal" of, say, support that'll keep things going for, say, a year and have a small icon showing progress.

But I'm not good with these things...I'm sure there's a bunch of people that can come with a good plan to ensure the financial health of this great site.

To all who have given so much, THANK YOU.

Just sent $50 myself Gary.  There is no reason you should ever take on all the costs for this, and glad you finally made this move!
