There was a new comer to AM on the other day, KB2DGM? or something like that, saying that he lived about 8 minutes? or 8 miles from Irb and was going to drive over and check things out.  I haven't heard anything.

Well, I won't talk to him, but I don't wish anything bad on him either.  I think I'll pour a glass of Vodka and drink to his health.  Smiley

FWIW, a coupla days ago I heard someone say on 75M that
his Champion of the Sky receiver had a crap out. Something
about smoke coming out and he hasn't fixed it yet for whatever
reason...  So if you hear him calling CQ, don't be hurt if he can't
hear you even running a KW.... Cheesy

Use an "AM Courtesy Filter" to limit transmit audio bandwidth  +-4.5 KHz, +-6.0 KHz or +-8.0 KHz when needed.  Easily done in DSP.

Usually it's less important to him if he can hear someone... It's more important that YOU hear his message over and over and over and over and over and over and over! O.K. Fine!!!!
