Heads Up: Hammarlund HQ-160

A rather rare HQ-160 general coverage dual conversion receiver is on ebay (7-28-23). Seller has two HQ-160 for $145 each. Nice front panels.
This Hammarlund does not have the poor audio of the HQ-170 & HQ-180 nor the falloff in Dynamic range during the triple conversion HQ-170 & HQ-180 operation (see W1VD tests). The HQ-160 has a slot filter like a notch filter for rejecting heterodynes. Bandpass is about 5KHz. I would replace the 6BA6 RF amp with a 6HR6 for more sensitive receive on 10 meters.
