Ready to reassemble and test, but can't find a reference about positioning the tuning knobs.

Am I correct in guessing the indicators should point to mid scale when the capacitors are halfway meshed?

I'd hate to install all 40+ screws to find I need to reopen it.......

Any advice about how to proceed and test would be welcome.

Thanks,

Can you get by with a screw every 2-3 inches or so?
