The last few days I've been working on the 390A. I found the 27K screen resistors in the 2nd and 3rd I.F. amps open.

I replaced them along with their associated bypass caps and the rig fired up just fine.

Is this a known weak spot and what else should I look for before closing this up?

Get the latest revision of the Y2K..............now on R3. Things which will bite you in the back side are clearly indicated.

Ham radio is now like the surprise in a box of "Cracker-Jacks". There is a new source of RFI every day.
