Thanks for this thread.

Yesterday I was installing electric switchgear at work and had to put pull bells on our 5 inch conduits.   Have a trainee with me.   As I reached for the glue,  I remembered this thread and used it as a training opportunity.

The fumes in the cabinet where overwhelming with just the cap off in a matter of a minute or two.

So,  some future good also came from this discussion.
