Greetings from San Juan Island!
I have just returned from two months in Southeast Asia and am ready for 15-meter AM! Unfortunately, even when the band appears to be open there has been zero blips on the panadapter near 21.43 Mhz. I've moved the 32V3 back into the lineup, strung up the Extended-Double-Zepp, and now calling CQ on the hour. I invite everyone to give a listen and call CQ when the mood hits. W1AW code bulletins are quite strong so I am thinking the band might be in better shape than it appears at first listen. It might just be a matter of refueling interest as the days get shorter.

Hi Dan...... I'll give a listen or a call on .430 this weekend. I'm out of the garage now and have the station in the house in pretty good shape.

Welcome back!

Hello,
I have fixed my dipole leg some weeks ago, so the dipole is now hanging again 'complete'!
This afternoon I have tuned my FT 901 DM on 21.430 AM.

So I am standby for monitoring this AM freq. (and on Ten mtrs)! Cheesy

Till soon in AM,

Hi Dan..the 11th was the day I hoid you here..due to my having to get some chores done I wasn't able to respond to ur CQ..however with the Mosely looking due north..it's usual local rag chew posistion..you were peaking just under S9..gud audio as well..I will also have to give this some extra listening/calling time..the Heath/National lash up is nearing completion

It's been great fun all around the USA the last few days on 15m AM, worked KW7Y, K0ABA, VE6CQ, & KA1BWO. Nice, long ole'buzzard transmissions, no slopbucket, and strong signals.

This afternoon, about 4:45 CT, I had a QSO with WA6HDY, Bernie in Aurora Grande CA, on 21.430 MHz.

Bernie was running his Ranger II barefoot with a beam.

Conditions were mixed as QSB showed its ugly head at times, but not bad for 1628 miles with me using a 3/4 wavelength vertical.

It appears 15m is getting better as Fall progresses.

Barry, the band has been sporadic, but on the upswing!

I now have a Flex 6500 so I am anxious to get you and Rob involved in AM critique.
