Partial list of 10 meter AM QSOs in the last week. Stations using more than 25 watts are not detailed.

Monday 2/2 worked GW8TBG for several minutes including calling and exchanging signal report using 750 milliwatts carrier at my end.

Also worked IW5EKR with same power some time last weekend.

2/2 WE7L who was using 20 watts carrier and a 1/4 wavelength groundplane.
W5KOU who was using HTX-100 @ 25W and dual band Comet.
KA5LXL
W4YDN using his KW TS-2000
WB5QLY

KC2UDZ during the week (forgot the day) 14 miles air distant both of us using barefoot Kw TS-440s. Ken can hear my 750 milliwatts at s-5 and I hear his one watt and vertizontal antenna no problem.

2/7
EW1HT
GW8TBG 750 milliwatts on my end again.
G3YPZ who uses a barefoot Elk-Raft K3.
GW4GTE
F5VIG
PE1MPH who IIRC uses an indoor antenna QRP.
W6NIR in San Carlos
W7YO who used a Johnson Messenger II at 5 watts carrier.
W5ZML

Today 2/8
I5KAP at 4 or 5 watts
G3YPZ
VO1KJM who was using an Icom 735 and a longwire with remote tuner. I have no idea what mode of propagation was happening. Signals were very stron in both directions with Kenny being only 400 miles away.   ??
WB6QKO
KC5VDS using modern rig. It was his first 10 meter AM QSO. Good thing he doesn't read stuff on the WWW.
VK4VN.

Sorry for the quick report without times.

May wait a while before ripping the 10 meter antenna down. It may fall apart on its own anyway.

Dave,

I heard your QSO with WB6QKO.  I was listening on my 75 meter dipole at 25 feet, on the west side of the house away from you.  Excellent signal from California, your signal was just Q5, very good for 74 miles between us!

Hi Tom,

      Interesting.

If my audio sounded weird it would have been backscatter. If not your antenna may just have a lobe this way. We should try a sked if you can deliver 10 meter energy to the antenna.

Thanks for the report and the QSL card!

Dave
