We had a pair of Archer(?) Space Patrol walkie talkies, had to be around 1963 to 1965ish. I discovered that if I held the antenna close to water pipe in the basement I could interfere with the Taxi company about a 1/4 mile away. Not sure how that worked but I remember hearing the dispatcher complaining about "those kids and their walkie talkies..."
