Unfortunately, the Continental is long out of business. It looks quite decrepit now.

Wow.

I wonder if "someone" can explore the possible retrieval of a suitable artifact to pass along to TimTron as a memento.

Tillie and Lillie themselves probably caught the bus out of town a long time ago.

Huh. The waveform looks like the peak survived unclipped.
Maybe it was the headphone amp in the DAT machine that lost it.
Then again, in the time it took to tell the story there might have been more than one.

Boy, that young Tim voice is one I never heard but then I have only known Tim for about 15 years. He must have been a lot younger then and about 100 pounds lighter Grin Grin Grin Great audio and it must have been on "tape"?

Nowadays they still refer things being on tape but it's no longer used anywhere. Maybe they still use digital tape in highfalutin TV stations and such?

Anyone have the rest of that recording? I've always heard bits of it but never the whole thing.

DAT was the "tape." The year was 1992.

The thing I remember about the recording is the LP playing in the background on Chuck's home stereo. He was using a set of WALL sized speakers, I believe they were Magneplanars, but the place was lit by only one or two dim bulbs so I'm not sure, it was late at night.

As TimTron spools out the story in the room I had a serious sense of Dark Side of the Moon.
