3885 khz: a glass of water!

Hello AM Lovers,
This morning I listen, around 06.30 hours (by me).
On mw very good signal from bc on 590 khz and 1130 khz.
There after I listen to: 3885 khz and I heard Steve WA1QIX talking.
He had a good signal by me +/- S7 and no problem to understand.
Often he mentioned his call and name 'clearly', thanks Steve!
I heard him talking with many AM stations, but.... I only heard him!!
Steve talked evenso with a new AM station on 3885 khz.
And he told to this new am lover: 'I am already 42 years on air in AM mode'!
Thats a very long time Steve and now you using 'mosfets'?!
When a station is so busy with talking to many AM stations...
I can understand that Steve needs something to drink!
Steve told he was short of air to get 'a glass of water'.
I wait a short moment... Steve returned but on 3880 khz!
Hi, hi.... I heard you evenso clearly on that freq. Steve.
On 3880 khz I could receive a station who talking to Steve, but....
Very, very weak and he was very shortly on air.... I think a K in his call.

For me unbelievable: I could only heard Steve WA1QIX!

Hi Henk,

Long distance conditions were very good.  I was working stations in the AM Transmitter Rally, and there are a lot of stations operating. 

The nice thing about last night, and probably the night before also is there was *no* static at all.  Usually, there is some kind of atmospheric static, but none at all last night.

So, the weak stations were coming in very clearly.

Henk reported it all correctly!  He gives us hope that we should listen for the Europeans.

Below 3800 of course. 

Henk and others are on the air most mornings at 3705-3710. A UK group is on 3615 a little later in the morning. They are all quite Q5 in the USA on many winter mornings.

Cornditions were very good after the tall ships went awayyy. WA, CA, TX and OK were quite copyable here in C NY.   N2BE, with his 12 Watts out, worked a station in Wa. But I wasn't able to break on through to the other side. I feel so cheep.

I could understand you need water.... hi, hi...
A pity I could not copy others, only you Steve!
Except the station 'K'-in his call on 3880 khz, I heard weakly some words.
