This has probably been asked before but I am having no luck finding information.  Torched my driver transformer in the viking II and am looking for a direct replacement.  Any ideas?  Thanks,

Look on eBay under Interstage Transformer. Maybe you don't deal with the auction site but you might identify the transformer your looking for. I guess what you are looking for is single plate to push pull grids? Triad & utc makes them among others. Hammond makes them brand new so look them up on Google. Most are about $25.00 NOS.

There are also people on ebay  striping out old parts rigs as a source of transformers.

Hope this helps.

www.radiodaze.com carries the Hammond line.

I believe the Hammond xfmr part # is 124E.
This transformer has been used to replace a Thordarson xfmr that was referenced in the three part Viking II modification articles in Electric Radio back in the nineties.  The Thordarson apparently is no longer made.

Same/similar used in Valiant, DX-100, and others.  The only problem with the older transformers is some just expire to corrosion of the very fine wire used so buying a new (such as the Hammond) would be the best bet.

Thanks for the replys and advice!  I appreciate it and will order a couple of the hammonds (for both my vikinings).  A little more spendy than I thought though...there used to be a replacement around $12 if I remember correctly.
