not so sure... how big is the thing?? Sounds like it might be 6H @ 4 amps and then 60H at 500ma... that would make the second number 0.5

When that choke was made they didn't use the 0.X way of writing decimal numbers.
The choke is 6hy @ 400ma - 60hy @ 50ma.
Never saw a swinging choke that had that big a range 6-60hy. It would be interesting to measure the choke with no current, probably won't measure anywhere near 60 hys.
39 Lbs is a little heavy for a choke of that size, but, with the 10kv high voltage insulation and the cast iron end bells, it might account for the extra weight.
Manufacturers of chokes used different methods for measuring the inductance of chokes. I have measured many different chokes and found that the numbers are all over the map from what they are labeled.
