Anyone have any helpful hints on restringing the dial cord on the NC-300?  I have the manual and trying to follow the page but looking and doing are 2 different things for me. I've put the front panel now 3 times, almost had it but cord slipped off flywheel. Time for round 4 with the front panel, grr.

Jerry, I struggled with mine. I then noticed that the Drum was hitting the inside frame on some bands. This will allow the cord to slack and come off. You will see that the Drum is beveled on one side for clearance. Make sure this is not your issue.

Also. I used a different hole for the spring. The normal one was to loose. You need good tension there.  If not, then the weight of the Drum will kick over and slack the cord.
