The latest on the 500 kHz gang.

Not mentioned in the report is that many if the 500 kHz experimenters are also AMers. In the recent past, KW1I, W1VD, K2ORS and maybe a few others were on 500 kHz. You can see some of Jay's stuff at his website.

Competing 500 kHz gangs.   Grin

According to one 500 kHz gang member, the ARRL was to timid in the privileges they requested.

Not really, just another call, but same players. Warren helped with the OM's experimental app. Om holds the record for SSB into EI land. Runs the beacon almost every night down on 503 KHz. Goto the 500KHz website and click on the "grabbers" link to select different receiver across the country. pretty cool stuff.

Bob W2ZM (WE2XGR/6) normally shuts down for the summer months ...

WE2XGR/2 (W1VD) Burlington CT will be running a cw beacon tonight on 506.5 kHz until 0300Z ... for those brave souls that aren't put off by the static ...

Reports appreciated!

I heard you last summer Jay. If I have a chance the weekend, I'll listen again.
