Just received word and photo below from Doug's son, Ralph Beamish

Dad, is still active and keeps a weekly sked with Dewey W0ZUS on 40 meters on Wednesday mornings. Gwen, his girlfriend/fiance, occupies a lot of his time. He has a new toy an electric bicycle/scooter which he uses to run into town (about 1 ¼ miles)  It has a top speed of 40Kmh (24 Mph) A bracket on the back supports his portable oxygen tank. Dad was 87 in June
