I dont even bother with auctions on ebay now. The automated sniping programs have made it impossible to get a fair deal on anything - i decide whats he maximum I'll pay, bid it, and i I dont get it, too bad. I use buy it now more than 80% of the time, and I'm only buying things that will help me finish what I have now.

it is rare that I spend more than 20 or 30 bucks total on Ebay or a hamfest these days.

a couple weeks ago I bought a very nice 1 KW linear with 8 MRF150s, 4 push pull stages for $173. It came out of an MRI machine and will be easy to convert to HF. It will make a nice desk top linear.
