Stancor Info

 Does anyone know of any websites with stancor info on them.
I have a couple of what I think are a Choke and one thats a Mod trans.
I pulled them out of some old military equipment, Vietnam era and I
think VHF but not sure, Its been to long to remember.
Numbers are:   CADF 301745
                     56C048

And:               CADF 301671
                      52C084

The numbers 56C048 and 52C084 look like Hallicrafters part numbers.

    I found a A-4713 in my Ranger. Does anyone know if this is worth keeping in there or should I get it out of there and go phase inverter or better transformer?  Thanks.........Larry

What is your goal or requirement? Does the current tranny not meet your freq response or distortion requirements? If it does, rock on. If not, I'd say skip another tranny and go the phase-splitter route.

       Hi Steve, I guess I should be asking if this transformer is better than the original. It is probably a cheap replacement and is not any better sounding.  I assume that the original failed at some point. I'm leaning towards the resistance coupled system anyway, I'm pretty sure that will sound better. But my junkbox has some other interstage transformers that may be a possiblility.  I have another modulation xfrmr that is rated at 40 watts and is much bigger than the original, but probably would be impossible to fit into the cabinet. This Ranger has been sitting around here for a long time, and I want to put it on the air finally. It basically works ok now, but needs some restoration and improvements. Its an older version, without the bias supply and keyer, so I will have to add new versions of those circuits. The bias supply is no problem, but I have not seen any ss version of the keyer circuit. Haven't given it much thought yet, but it should not be a real problem. When working, it will be part of the "bedside station", hopefully with its own antenna system. Looks like the circuit from the link would be easily duplicated. Only the negative feedback circuit would have to be a bit different with the other transformer if I use it.
