Good to talk to you Bill. You were 10-20 over 9 here in VA. Excellent signal on 3885 from about 0000 UTC onward. Also worked W9A, W1GUD in Tampa and WD8BIL in Buddlyville. Good sigs from all!

The magic hour is approaching....
and from a Christmas eve QSO I understand that a certain AM'er might be operating under two 1x1's due to foot dragging or outright ignorance of the AM event from a certain sponsor.

Would not have mentioned it 'cept he's already divulged same over the air...

So the default position might be one 1x1 for Hvy Metal, the other for straight key night.  So if'n y'all hear the same voice over phone and cw (yeah, his fist'll sound like his voice, very fast, hint, hint) then it's him. Grin

I trust Paul's keeping the list current.
-- so get out ur D-104's and J-38's.
Should be lots of fun.

Yeah Rick, we have topped two dozen 1x1 assigned to the Heavy Metal Rally.
VCool.

List updated. Buddly has two calls too, probably from the same Laurel fiasco.

Yup..... you nailed it, Paul.
I'll be signing W8A though. W8B will die a quiet death this year.

To eliminate some sponsor confusion, maybe next year we insert "1x1's to be issued to each operator in the event, from their homes or locations of choice..." or somesuch.

At this time I'd like to thank w5yi for gracious sponsorship; think the jig was "caught on to" pretty early as to the number of miscreants participating.
