I want to add a simple PTT mod to my Viking 1.
I want to use a 12VDC relay (cheap and as close as RS), so I think I can use a voltage-doubler circuit off of the filament AC with perhaps a small dropping resistor to account for the output being double the peaks instead of double of RMS (so I have read).
Is it really as easy as using a DPDT relay and paralleling the 2 NO relay switches with the 2 switches in the plate power switch?
