I've seen them before. It's actually 3 section cap..
The bottom is one cap, the top 2 are seperated. It's also a differential I think that's what they call it.

Looks like the loading cap from a Johnson KV match box. Dual differential.

No, it is not a "loading" cap...  It's the MATCHING cap from the little 275 watt scratch box   Dual differential thingy with that fiber coupling on the rotor shaft that is prone to develop a carbon track if you don't use the box correctly...  If you get one flashover there, your done till you replace that coupling...Of yeah, the controls on the match box are "Tuning" & "Matching"...

Thanks all....   it just lookss so JS'ed that I had to ask.  The fiber coupling - just wierd in respect to isolation of the shafts. How to insure the shafts are seperated from each other?  Looks like a setup for  'spark gap' inside the coupling.  klc
