Undecided Has anyone else Had this problem with Surplus Sales Lately ?
After NO REPLY FOR 30 days from them and Sorry HE IS OUT for at least 5 phone calls, and 3 or 4 E-mails This I thought was a Very interresting responce .Sure it was a 8.00 Dollar 12DQ6 Sweep tube 1 out of 6 was bad, (Shorts in ALL postions on my TV-7/AU) But I have got to ASK  WHAT IF IT WERE A 2 or 3 Hundred Dollar Tube ?? I Think I will really need Something they got Before I Buy from Them Again.

 Tim,
Please pardon my manner in advance and let me be blunt.  I wish I would have been involved with this situation from the beginning.  I would not have wasted your time.

The 12DQ6’s we sent you were GOOD TUBES.  I know.  I tested them. They draw a lot of current and show “shorted” on many cheap tube testers.
12DQ6 is a sweep tube as I am sure you know.  Sweep tubes are not warranted.  This is so stated in both the Operating Instructions and at the bottom of the webpage you ordered them from.

Best regards,

Surplus Sales is a sleazebag operation.
Grinell deliberately misrepresented and sold me a defective item
some 10 years ago and refused to make it good.

Same story, same garbage, "..I personally checked your tubes..."
Yeah. Right.
He must be so busy testing tubes that he can't answer customer
phone calls.

Most everything they sell is about 2x to 4x what it's worth anyway.  I haven't bought anything from them in years.  I'm really surprised he's stayed in business all these years.

SS of NB boned me too out of a catalog many years ago. Sent them money but no catalog.  Wasn't much in $$ but it was the point of it.  Never bought anything and never will because of the catalog reason, the mere fact they're prices are exorbitant and plus the complaints I've heard over the years .
