Anybody worked with these connectors before? Are they different than an ordinary spade terminal?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, they are different. AKA "Quick Disconnect" connector. In my experience they are basically a square or rectangular metal blade on one side of the connection and a mating slide-on or push-on type of thing on the other side. They stay together by friction and pressure, there are no screws involved. They come in many different sizes and styles, some for crimping, some for soldering, some for permanent mounting etc. I have used hundreds of them over the years...........Larry

Larry is talking through his butt but I agree with him. The connectors work fine and great when using barrier strips with the right spade interface. They are used when a harness is built in a remote location fron the equipment it goes in.
A bit over kill for us ham bones.
