Wonder if anyone noticed the mid-30's National HRO receiver prominently displayed at the very beginning of the Walter Conkrite documentary aired by PBS this past Wednesday. It appeared in a photo of a newsroom, sitting on a shelf behind a desk... one of the early models with German Silver dial, looked to be about vintage 1935. Naturally, it was in pristine condition, since it couldn't have been more than a few years old at the time the photo was taken.

I noticed it too.   When they showed the Houston control center I remarked to my wife that I liked everything about that, the knobs, the dials, the consoles.
