Heil, 65, will be honored this month when some of his creations - mixing boards, speakers and more - go on display in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. It's just another highlight on a career that began as a ham radio operator and organ dealer at Ye Olde Music Shop in Marissa, Heil's hometown.
