WOW
Get a load of Dean's DX-100 this morning, 3867Kc Arizona to Maryland.
He's got a new antenna system described in the sound file.
Impressive to hear, must be impressive to see, too.

File size about 2megs

Dunno why but I woke up around 4AM and the radio was on... heard most of the QSO!!  Cheesy

both sides Q5!

Pretty kewl... reminded me of the telescoping "heavy duty" antenna mast I got from Laughalot Radio (how did I get it home??) that was a 40 ft section that I convinced the neighboring landlord to let me put on top of his 6 story apartment building... which I topped with a TA-33jr, and rotated with a chain drive & selsyn for directional readout back in  da Bronx, back in da day... heh... the "telescoping mast"...

I could see it in my mind's eye out there in the red desert of Arizona! Three... sticking up in the air  Cool

It's 0433 here in the east, and I just signed out a few minutes ago with Dean THE kLEENEX.  We were both 9 + 30 at each other's QTH.  What a fantastic signal he had with those towers!  Frank WY3D, Dave W4QCU, Jim N8ULN and Dave W5UY were in there too.  Others were calling in as I signed out.  It's great fun to get on 75 at that hour.  And now.....back to bed.....YAWN.....

Thanks, Tim, there was some garbage in the URL from somewhere.
Extraneous characters removed. Wish we could do that on 75m, eh ?
