I had a nice 2 hour visit here at my QTH from Tim WA1HLR this afternoon as he started to make his way home from the SWL convention in Kulpsville, PA.

I showed him the meager antenna farm and them we chatted in my shack for quite a while.  We consumed a few Ayinger Ur Weiss amber wheat beers, fueling a few belches.

Three photos below:
1. Tim and his mobile
2. Tim and me in my shack.
3. Tim at my Viking II.

Tim left to visit another friend close by.

Gee, I thought he would have been drinking straight out of the bottle instead of sipping from a wine glass Cool

Hi Mike,

The bottles are 500 mL.  So we split one to start with, in case he didn't like it.  Also there is sediment in the bottom of the bottle which Tim doesn't like to drink, so we decanted this fine unfiltered German beer.

Hey Mikey he likes it!

So, what do they talk about at SWL conventions?

Does everybody just say to a few celebs, "I listen to you AAALL the time?"

I'll bet the Tron was a main attraction as one of the movers and shakers there.   Grin

Use an "AM Courtesy Filter" to limit transmit audio bandwidth  +-4.5 KHz, +-6.0 KHz or +-8.0 KHz when needed.  Easily done in DSP.

Man, Tim must be raking in the $$$ from the SWL lecture tour.
I found this shot of him on his yacht.
And to think we knew him when he'd work for transformers.

Looking at Tim's vehicle I don't believe there was room for any passengers. Never ceases to amaze me how much stuff Tim can get into a small space.
