Is this the rig Mike Dorrough is pictured next to in Electric Radio, January 2006 ?
Yes it is. Mike was visiting the builder, Gary Halverson, K6GLH (formerly WA9MZU) when Gary took the picture that graces the cover of the January ER. Gary built the transmitter with 1930's circuits and 1930's components initially in a Martha Stewart brand rack. Hence the name.
For the first QSO Gary thought a cross generation conversation appropriate so we set a schedule, Martha with my Class E rig. I was shocked by how good the audio was. Really, really, good -- wide and smooth, no distortion.
