George Washington loves electronics too

President Washington, President Lincoln, President Wilson, President Roosevelt have all authorized electronic surveillance on a far broader scale.

Lincoln forward I can see, they could tap telegraph lines, etc.

But Washington? Which President Washington would that be?
Perhaps that was what Ben Franklin was doing with those kites, listening into old King George?

Moses was clumsy; he was supposed to bring down 3 stone tablets.

Washington authorized interception of letters. Not electronic, but the main comms channel of the day. For more read
