Don,
Prayers and thoughts from Colchester CT focused on Tennesee....

My wife and I were married about 6 months when I got smacked from behind by a driver doing 55 mph. The driver said they never saw me stopped in the middle of the road trying to make a left turn.  I was out of commision for about month.  I didn't seem to worried about it to much but it freaked my wife out and my immediate family.  I think it's hard for the loved ones to deal with this sort of thing more so than the individual who's involved in a situation like this at least that's the way it was for me.  I'm pretty much back to normal after 4 years since the accident.  Still get a little pain in the back but otherwise 100%.

We're hoping your daughter makes full recovery as if this never happened. Liz and I will be thinking of you guys.

Wow Don! I clicked on the URLs from the AM reflector. I certainly hope the daughter is recovering. I hope that the authorities catch the perp that did this. Probably some damn sloppbucketeer from Arkansas.

Sorry to hear this, Don.

What a frustrating situation for her, as a star runner, and as fit as could be.

Being young and an athlete, she will surely make a speedy recovery, OM.

Good luck.

Hi Don:

I am very sorry to hear of the accident and am happy it is not worse. I hope your daughter recovers fully.

Never worry about not being on the air in times like these. You have an extended family (us AM'ers) waiting in the wings to help and chat as needed.

I have enjoyed hearing you on the air all these years (since about 1975 I think for me).

Don,
Sorry to hear about this. It is a shame that you are not even safe walking on the side of the road. Give her our prayers and condolences. Thank God that she has youth on her side, as that should help her expedite her recovery. We'll pray that all turns out well and in her favor.

Wow.

First of all, a full and speedy recovery to the girls; serenity and strength to you and the other families. It sounds like a lot elements conspired to save the girls, so I'd say you are all in very good hands.

I also hope the elements similarly conspire to bring swift and sure justice to the party that fled the scene so you can focus on recovery.

All the best, Don. We're all pulling for you.
