Helllllo everyone,
Spring Time is over   Lips sealed

I have a nice Gates Modulation monitor that I cannot figure out the model number. Two nice big meters on the front panel, Carrier level and modulation meter and a control for the level and a switch for looking at pos and neg peaks, complete with flashing light Shocked

On the back looks like a Gates part number. Can someone interpret 994-6659-001?Huh
Thanks

If it is about 8 inches tall and sort of a dirty brown color, it may be an AM 80.  Box is about 6 inches deep with a terminal strip and SO 239 on back with a switch.

I'll take a digital pic and post, it's a pretty nice looking unit. Might from the middle 70's.
It is the color of Gates transmitters from the middle 70's before they turned into Harris.
Thanks

Don't recognize that one Mop.  It is probably the model before the AM 80.

Hi Fred,

I had one of these a few years ago. I can't remember the "sales" model # but the 6659 is the main part of the part number. Are you looking for schematics or manual? I see it looks like it stilll has the original electrolytics, which should be replaced. Change them all as they are probably 30+ years old now.

I think this is a 60's vintage. I will look in my files-pics and try to locate a model # for you.

cheers

Hi Paul
Thanks for your info. I need the manual so I can understand the input circuit better. The carrier pot is fryed.
