Back in July, while working on the new 813 x 813 rig, the modulation transformer fell about 6 feet and landed on the right foot.  This resulted in several broken bones and severe lacerations.

The foot has recovered. However, the modulation transformer did not.  This is or was a new stock replacement for the T-368.

There is oil leaking from around the mounting bolts.  My question is.....what suggestions does anyone have in regards to the transformer.

Thanks for your input.

Are the windings shorted?......Does it ohm out OK?   If so seal up the leak and use it.... If not, Open the can up and see whatcha got....You might be able to salvage it....You got nothing to lose..... Hope the foot is OK... Steve

if the transformer its self is still ok
only prob is oil leak
just turn it up side down

plate transformer in my Loudenboomer power supply
started leaking oil
after seeing what Peter Dahl gets for a new transformer
just turned it over

Thanks fellows for the input.  The transformer is not damaged inside.  My thoughts were to mount it upside down and solve the problem.  However, I was wondering about sealing the case with epoxy or something.

All of the chassis work is done and would this would be a plus if it would work.  If I have to mount it upside down, there is a clearance problem with the feed thru insulators.

By the way Steve, we just returned from a 2 week visit in KL7 country......what a fantastic place.

Best for the Holidays and thanks again.
