Well, after preparing the grid input coil with several taps, the rig is now back on 160 from it's former home on 75.  Gary, W2INR,  who so graciously took a trip down here from Syracuse, fined tuned the rig.  I would like to publicly thank him for his generous effort.  It's fellow hams like him that make this hobby, and gives us the oppertunity to make life long friends. Jay,

My RA-250 heard of your conversion and is looking forward to meeting yours on 160.

Great news Jay, I'm working on my BC-610 and using it on 75. My Westinghouse will just make 1.885 so maybe I'll work you down there someday. Many of us us 1.930.It's a little less old buzzard QSO up there. I also hear some signals on 1.985 which is new as in past years nothing much was heard there.

Good Luck

Heard Jay, Vortex and Mikey on 160 tonight. You all had pretty good signal, even on my 75 meter dipole. If I can get an antenna up for than band, I hope to join you soon.

Jay - Your RA-250 has "three B A AudiO"; and I've never heard it sound better! I enjoyed our cornversation last night and hope to hear lots more of you.

I forgot to ask you about your 813: Does it appear to be just loafing along on 160M? Perhaps the Q is better on the top band than on 75M for the circut it's in.

Steve - HUZman: Hope to work you on 160M, but was good hearing you on 75M the other night. Good luck with the new residence!

Best Regards,

You had JN there and you guys went fishing in the cold instead. Next time tell the kids that they have to practice casting over trees first.
