Does anyone here have experience with a TMC GPT 750?  What are it's strengths and weaknesses?  I am thinking about acquiring one and have never seen much about them.  4-400s modulated by 810s.

What are your thoughts?

It's a mixed experience good/bad among each of three people I know who have them.

The stock modulator section, when found at all, is of marginal quality for fidelity and manufacture.

The rest of the transmitter seems strong, including the power supply and the RF tank.

The PTO/VFO assembly is magnificent, with stability maintained to an unreasonable degree by inner and outer ovens. NO one will question your drifting or being off frequency.

One example had some screen current problems to the 4-400s which lead to low RF output. Not known if it was a design issue or problem components.
