Does anyone have that movie on the manufacturing of BC-610? I have a dial up and would like to have it on a CD.

Yanks a ton.

FB, give me a couple of days to get it made up.
I did this a few years back for some hams here in Maine, think I still have the original file.

Thanks Bruce for helping out.  "The Voice of Victory" received many thumbs up from the audience at the 1st annual Boatacnhor Dinner and A Miovie at Fall Hosstraders.  Do you have any other flicks we might want to showcase at the spring fester?

The other day I saw a post about K1MAN and it immediately turned into be a birthday bash QSO. Bt the way Happy Birthday Herb.  Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked I guess I guilty too. Hey Chris, how is the HF from the X-C going?

I have Empire of the Air, excellent flick, a little long in bits, but very good on Armstrong and DeForest.
Might make a good program.
Lots of old buzzard gear shown - all broadcast type - plus good interviews, very well done presentation.

Also have a NPR program - audio only - about Radio Row in NYC.
About 1/2 hour, will interviews of old buzzards who had shops there.
Good listening around the campfire, but somewhat bittersweet given all that is gone now.

Hey Bruce, I got a brand new DVD player for my birthday.  Can you crank one out for me some time?   I am beginning to work on the BC-610 over at the AWA museum, and that DVD might be handy.  Thanks much.

Try http://www.archive.org/details/VoiceofV1944

A reviewer says:

"If your an owner of the hallicrafters HT-4 or the mitary version, BC-610 transmitter, this movie segment and part two provide a great overview. Shown are the roots of the model based in the HT-4 and how it was modified for military service. This model originally sold in the range of $600 - $700, rivaling the cost of a car

The popularity of the radio is signified by the 25,000 units produced by hallicrafters and other allied companies. Their effort was appreciated by both American and overseas armies during World War Two. Hearing of ham radio operators in Europe that obtained one is not unusual.

The movie was actually useful as an aid in repairing my BC-610. I saw how the chassis were handled and mated together. Good background information.

The name is the voice of victory parts one and two.

will show you some other communication movies.

I have a copy of the DVD Bruce made.

But of course Herb, how could I ever forget about the "Eastmost Satellite of the Buffalo AM Triangle"?
Consider it a birthday present.
Its a fun move to watch if you are a ham, the YL showed no interest however.

Should have sent a copy to you when I first made them, you're a natural with the station line up in PYNY.

We'll soon be on from the 1UJR barn/hamshack. The heater was installed last week, and the contactor is to finish the floor and insulation this Friday/Saturday.
This is not the new fancy barn, due to WX that will have to wait until spring, but it does get me on air.
So, hope to catch up with you on the Sunday Morning Brunch.
