Check CNN news, they have a picture of a 25 foot squid attacking bait.
This is the first picture of a live one!

Reminds me of an ex-girlfriend, although I'm sure she's never been caught on tape... Shocked

I see you knew her too!  Roll Eyes

Out in Washington state just about 2 years ago, I tried some of this stuff for the first (and last) time. It was like eating old pencil erasers! Little hoop-shaped pieces, couldn't tell if they were beaks, tentacles, or the suction cups. Just as well.

I'll stick to cows, birds, and recognizable fish/shellfish species and leave the weird stuff to the true connoisseurs.  Wink

I always thought octopus [shushi] tasted like rubber. Probably same for giant squid. No thanks.

Considering that the ocean is seven miles deep at it's lowest point and covers 3/4 of the Earth, it doesn't surprise me that there are creatures as large or larger than dinosaurs down there.  What a great eco support system to grow huge and just float around without gravity effects. The ultimate couch potatoes.. Grin

Use an "AM Courtesy Filter" to limit transmit audio bandwidth  +-4.5 KHz, +-6.0 KHz or +-8.0 KHz when needed.  Easily done in DSP.

Yea but with a 10 inch eye you must have to be scoping out your next meal all day long. HMMMM float to the surface and suck down a human for lunch.
not bad once you get past the smell.

Musta been overcooked!!!   When you eat calmari, all you eat are the tentacles.  with suction cups attached.   Yum!!!  (The beaks are removed before cooking, and sent to the corner  Korean restaurants.  They collect alll the offal from all the restaurants for their dishes.)
