Does anyone have any personal experience with/impressions of this receiver?  I have just been doing some reading, and was wondering if this croud had a opinions of it.

What do you want to know?

Mostly I just want to know what someone who knows them thinks of them.  Is it a receiver worth owning/using/keeping?  Does it have any notable of strengths and/or shortcomings?  Could you draw some comparisons with more well known receivers?

Just general stuff like this.

While my 4350 has not had a lot of air time, my recollection is that it is a nice sounding receiver. Underneath looks easy to work on. The big half moon dial, I think, is cool looking. The "A" had a calibrator which would help.
BFO injection on mine is weak, so I still have some work to do there. Biggest weak point in a used one is the ball bearing drive for the big tuning knob wears out. I did some machining and placed a Jackson drive in there. Tunes smooth now.
You can put together an unusual setup if you get the preselector, VHF converter and SSB adapter.
