FYI there are at least 5 times the traffic from guests than registered users!

That makes sense; you only need to log in if you want to say something or if you have a private message waiting.

I'm sorry Dave!  Forgive me?  And you are one of two guys here I've worked on the air.  Yep, shouldn't be confusing names.  On the other hand, my brain has been fried, so . . .

Yeah, if I had woods nearby . . .   we live in a building surrounded by other buildings.  We just HAD to end up in the dead center of the complex!   Oh well.

Here we go!!

Over the next 24 hours the site will be going thru the propagation mode. The URL (AMFONE) will be pointed towards a different server and it will take time for this info to disperse thru the ISPs. For some of you this may be instant and for others it could take up to 48 hours.

In order to preserve the data and insure a pick up from where we left off, I will be locking down the site .

I can't say when  but I can say soon. There are a series of events that have to fall into place before we transfer.

You will also notice a new "look" and a new forum. Please do not get overwelmed at first. Compared to the plain jane look of the php this looks better and offers 3 times the functionality as wells as features. It is intimidating at first, but so was this board compared to Steves.

Use the help button. There is a great deal of documentation.

I hope all goes well and I really hope you will like the new Amfone.

Looks good Gary.  Let me know if I can help out any with SMF.  I really like it myself, and YES, it is different from phpBB, but in the long term it will be a great addition.
