I heard the news on the air a couple days ago and I was waiting to confirm this for sure. I found Steve's obituary today. He died Tuesday March 31 and the funeral is April 18th. He had a great AM voice.

Very sad news indeed. I never knew Steve all that well, but met him a few times at Nearfest, and spoke with him once in a while on the air. I always admired and envied his superb radio voice.
