This is not technically,a technical, thread, but for a lot of us Jim Tonne was a mentor and made very significant contributions to the Art by his articles in QST and QEX and his great collection of software programs that are invaluable for many designs for speech and RF modulation and Amplifier tank designs plus even a program to letter your equipment.

Jim passed on September 21 of this year.
I just discovered it a few days ago. I had written him an email last Summer, but got no,reply, and figured he was not well.

I consider Jim?s loss as great, but I still use his programs.
His site is down  or blocked -something to do with his estate. I hope to see it back up soon.

73, Jim. You will be missed. Mike K9MB

I understand Mr. Tonne was an accomplished photographer as well. I downloaded his software awhile ago. I would pay to get the key for the extended METER version if they would make it available. I guess that follows with the old saying, "Put off today for what you can do tomorrow!" Undecided
