Looking to get on am and I found a Globeking 500b. The guy is an SK and his son is selling it. Looks to be missing top and bottom cabinet screws so that tells me something has been going on? My question is are these worth trying to repair? I'm new to repairing but learning I really like the look of the radio. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Bob

That is a nice looking rig. However, since the screws are missing from the master oscillator (VFO) and the RF amplifier, I would take the time out to look underneath to see if there were any modifications or if the tubes were there. The modulator, (middle section) is pretty simplistic and shouldn't have any issues other than a modulation transformer. 4-400 modulated by a pair of 811As, (many people used 572Bs instead), was pretty common.
